Android Secret Codes

"Disclaimer: USE WISELY AND AT YOUR OWN RISK ONLY,WE WONT BE RESPONSIBLE IN ANY WAY TO ANY DAMAGE CAUSED TO YOUR PHONE. BY USE OF THESE CODES"

Kind of like the hidden menu at In-N-Out (if
you don’t know what that is, I’m sorry
you’re so deprived), there are some nifty
hidden codes that can be used to
accomplish certain tasks on your Android
phone. Some of them do fairly basic,
practical things, while others can be used to
perform complete alterations, such as
factory resets. You should be careful when
using some of these codes, because once
you do (again, factory reset), they can not
be undone.
*#*#4636#*#*
This shows the following information about
your phone and battery:
Phone information
Battery information
Battery history
Usage statistics
*#*#7780#*#*
This performs a factory data reset, and will
remove the following:
Google account settings stored in your
phone
System and application data and settings
Downloaded applications
It will NOT remove:
Current system software and bundled
applications
SD card files e.g. photos, music files, etc.
PS: This one asks for a confirmation, so if
you do get a chance to change your mind.
*2767*3855#
Don’t try this one unless you’re sure. This
code is used for factory format, and will
remove all files and settings including the
internal memory storage. It will also
reinstall the firmware.
PS: Once you give this code, there is no way
to cancel the operation unless you remove
the battery from the phone, and even then,
you run the risk of bricking your phone.
*#*#34971539#*#*
This code is used to get information about
the camera. It shows following 4 menus:
Update camera firmware in image (Don’t try
this option)
Update camera firmware in SD card
Get camera firmware version
Get firmware update count
WARNING: Never use the first option
otherwise your phone camera may stop
working, and there is really no reason to
update the camera firmware anyway.
*#*#7594#*#*
This code will change the “End Call / Power”
button action on your phone. By default, if
you long press the button, it shows a screen
asking you to select any option from Silent
mode, Airplane mode and Power off.
You can change this action using this code.
You can enable direct power off on this
button so you don’t need to waste your
time in selecting the option.
*#*#273283*255*663282*#*#*
This code opens a File copy screen where
you can backup your media files e.g.
Images, Sound, Video and Voice memo.
*#*#197328640#*#*
This code can be used to enter into Service
mode. You can run various tests and change
settings in the service mode.
WLAN, GPS and Bluetooth Test Codes:
*#*#232339#*#* OR *#*#526#*#* OR
*#*#528#*#* – WLAN test (Use “Menu”
button to start various tests)
*#*#232338#*#* – Shows WiFi MAC
address
*#*#1472365#*#* – GPS test
*#*#1575#*#* – Another GPS test
*#*#232331#*#* – Bluetooth test
*#*#232337#*# – Shows Bluetooth device
address
*#*#8255#*#*
This code can be used to launch GTalk
Service Monitor.
Codes to get Firmware version information:
*#*#4986*2650468#*#* – PDA, Phone, H/
W, RFCallDate
*#*#1234#*#* – PDA and Phone
*#*#1111#*#* – FTA SW Version
*#*#2222#*#* – FTA HW Version
*#*#44336#*#* - PDA, Phone, CSC, Build
Time, Changelist number
Codes to launch various Factory Tests:
*#*#0283#*#* – Packet Loopback
*#*#0*#*#* – LCD test
*#*#0673#*#* OR *#*#0289#*#* –
Melody test
*#*#0842#*#* – Device test (Vibration test
and BackLight test)
*#*#2663#*#* – Touch screen version
*#*#2664#*#* – Touch screen test
*#*#0588#*#* – Proximity sensor test
*#*#3264#*#* – RAM version

How to RemHow to Remove Facebook Timeline using Chrome Ext.

Facebook introduced Timeline a way back and it was greeted in a nice manner by many Facebook freaks and we also many Timeline Goodies like creating awesome Facebook Timeline Covers well but there were some complications using it so many people wanted to remove it so that they can get back their original + official Facebook profile layout. So many tweaks were launched to get rid of Timeline but some worked some had some glitches in it so time goes on and now we have a nice, good and permanent solution to remove Facebook Timeline.

Google Chrome the first browser hacked at Pwn2Own 2012

It seems escaping Pwn2Own unscathed last year put a target on Google Chrome's back, as the browser was the first to fall to exploits at this year's event. Pwn2Own is a hacking competition that takes place at the annual CanSecWest security conference in Vancouver. The goal is to exploit browsers and mobile devices to take full control of a system. This year, Vupen, the first team that successfully cracked Safari last year, set its sights on Chrome first after developing a plan of attack for six weeks. Its method took advantage of two zero-day exploits — unknown issues with a shipping product — and a baited website set up during the hack. Once the computer visited the site, the exploit ran and opened up the Chrome calculator extension outside of the browsers sandbox, demonstrating complete control of the up-to-date 64-bit Windows 7 box.
Vupen had previously released a video cracking Chrome, but Google rejected it, stating the hackers had used exploits found in third-party code, most likely Flash. Vupen wouldn't reveal how they accomplished gaining control of the system this time around, but noted they had hacked a completely default version of the browser. Because Flash is pre-installed as part of Chrome, they could very well have used a similar exploit.
Even though Chrome fell this year, Vupen co-founder Chaoki Bekrar told ZDNet that "the Chrome sandbox is the most secure sandbox out there. It’s not an easy task to create a full exploit to bypass all the protections in the sandbox." Still, if all it takes is drive, a fair bit of know-how, and a simple booby-trapped webpage to take over a system via a browser, it goes to show just how insecure we are online.

Why the new iPad is called “iPad”

iPad HD, iPad 3. Those were a couple names the tech world speculated about before today’s announcement. All of them were wrong as we quickly realized when Tim Cook unveiled “the new iPad” earlier today.
But why is the new iPad simply called iPad? Couldn’t they call it the iPad 3 as good common sense suggested?
According to the WSJ, when asked about why such as simple name, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing Phil Schiller answered “because we don’t want to be predictable.”
Fair enough, but something tells me there is more to it than just not wanting to be predictable.
Have you ever noticed how Apple names its new iMacs, MacBook Airs or iPod touch every year?
2009′s iMac was called “iMac” and 2011′s iMac is still called “iMac”. Likewise, the MacBook Air has been called “MacBook Air” ever since it was launched a few years ago. Same with the iPod touch. A few refreshes and notable upgrades haven’t changed anything to the simplistic naming convention.
So why did Apple drop the suffix for the iPad?
For a long time, Apple has made it clear that it doesn’t care about specifications. RAM, GB, GHz, and other MHz don’t mean much to Apple, and the company always tries to subliminally convey the idea that it shouldn’t matter to you either. After all, all you want from your computer is that it just works.
Now it seems that Apple doesn’t want you to care about what generation of device you have too. You don’t have an iPad 3, you have an iPad. You won’t have an iPhone 5, you will have an iPhone. We’re at a point where the appellation should not mean anything anymore. Apple wants to save you the headache of figuring out if your iPad is newer than your neighbor’s. It wants to keep it simple for you because you shouldn’t have to worry about that. Remember, your iPad just works.
Dropping the suffix is also a way to create a branding consistency and homogeneity among Apple’s product line. I believe this consistency and homogeneity is also the reason why we’ve seen an iOSification – or whatever you want to call it – of OSX lately.
Back to the basics with simple and non-confusing names. Hate it or love it, it might be here to stay.

Copy Data from Scratched CD’s and DVD’s using CopyCat

Copy Cat 2.0 actually skip the bytes which are not readable from file and copy all other bytes therefore it extracts max data which is normally not done by windows copy operation. Copy Cat can be helpful at times when you want to copy a CD or DVD which is scratched, when you want to copy data from harddisk area which is partially not readable ,when you want to copy data from floppy which is currently not being copied by windows .So download and enjoy.

Features:-
1.)Copies your oldest collection of CDs and DVDs

2.)It even tries to copy a highly damaged media byte by byte

3.)It gives you the option to skip the bytes if bad area found

4.)It is a very fast data recovery tool

5.)It also tries to copy damaged files on your hard disk

6.)Unlike Windows copy operation it does not stop the copy if bad area found

Thanks :)
